Hi y'all~ I have been in here since...late 2011? So sorry! I think I just lost that motivation to blog about anything since I noticed the last I posted it was about someone fat bashing me. Pfft but well I'm back and I deleted all my old post so I could take a stab at the 30 Day Lolita Challenge that I started back in 2011. Yesterday my friends and I made a promise to try thing challenge again since none of us finished it xD but first a catch up~
Since 2011, I've made more lolita friends, expanded my wardrobe, and..I got engaged! September 1, 2012! :D planning to get married in late 2016. So yeah lol
Well now to get on with why I am here again, 30 Day Lolita Challenge.
Day One: 10 things about your lolita bubble...
I honestly don't know what a lolita bubble is so please excuse my interpretation of this xD I guess my answers would be inspirations from my lolita friends who are also participating in this.
1. Hawaii Lolita Community...<3
I joined the Hawaii Lolita community back in early 2011? Maybe late 2010. I was super shy in the beginning, not really noticing that I am an introvert, I came off as cold. But since then I have made great friends. Within our community everyone is pretty chill. We don't all hang out at meet ups but when we do, it's a blast. Most of the community ranges up in age between 22 and up~ so obviously everyone is pretty busy. Though we try to plan one large meet once a month. The last meetup I attended was at JJ's French Bistro. I met a new lolita who is super rad and caught up with some of the other Lolitas on what's going on in each other's lives.
I know there is a separate lolita group on this island that doesn't really like our community. Which really is sad. Lolita is a common interest that should bring us all together but those few have chosen to alienate themselves and create drama/rumors that just doesn't roll with the Hawaii Lolita community.
2. Friends

Omg has lolita brought me some of the best friends I could ever ask for. Lolita may be our first connection but really every one of us are so very different. Brilliant, talented, inspiring. It's really true that you should surround yourself with friends that inspire than ones that bring you down. I love that I can share this common interest of the lolita fashion. Every brand release has all of us talking up a storm on if we love or hate it. How much we "need" it and how it would match items in our current wardrobes. Having friends in the lolita world makes being a lolita a lot more enjoyable. Coordinating outfits, attending meet ups or just casual outings. Sharing one of your favorite fashion trends with great friends inspires you to excel if you think about it.

3. Facebook
Lol ok I know I know..Facebook?? Well my lolita bubble isn't only in person but friends I have made online through Facebook. Besides friends, Facebook has helped me keep in touch with brand updates on new releases and also fellow lolita designer, Ashizawa Yuko of brand Atelier Peirrot, who I had the pleaser of meeting, twice xD she's so cool. Lol Facebook has become a great place for connecting with those who also love lolita fashion and the lifestyle.
4. Art
I can't draw very well but I love art that are inspired by or that involved the lolita fashion. One of my most favorite artist who uses lolita fashion in her work, is one of my best friends, Tania aka Devdasi @ https://www.facebook.com/devdasiart

5. Gaming
Ha! So yeah I love the game Style Savvy and Style Savvy Trendsetters, not only for the fact that it's a fashion game...but they there are also two lolita brands in the game xD in a way it helps me with planning my lolita coords and inspires me on designing. I don't know if this counts as a lolita bubble thing..but it's my lolita bubble so I'll post whatever I want. If you love fashion, besides lolita, get one of these games. There's a combination of different fashion trends from lolita, pop, retro, bold, edge, goth, sporty, feminine, bohemian, etc~ Style Savvy is for Nintendo DS and Style Savvy Trendsetters is for Nintendo 3DS~
Anime conventions are a great place to reconnect with Lolitas that you haven't seen in a while. Everyone goes all out on their outfits and makeup/hair. Photographers everywhere, a perfect place to try out that over the top outfit or full bonnet that you just weren't sure of to wear at a casual meetup. I love attending anime conventions, not to only see all the cosplayers, but also to shop at the booths. Past two Kawaii Kons, Harajuku Hearts has hosted a booth..omfg I could go broke there xD but it's great to have access to items in person than just online.
7. Sewing?
I can't afford much brand and a lot of brands don't make clothing to fit my large frame..so I taught myself to sew. I've had some fails but a few successes.
I've sewn my own dresses and accessories using replica fabrics of prints to popular dresses, for myself and for my friends. I have sewn in a long while, I really should get back into it~
So I can't really think of anything else. I love my little lolita bubble of friends and things that I enjoy that are somewhat related with my world of lolita.
